The Mission Statement

The Guyana High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, was established in 2013 and is  currently Guyana’s only diplomatic mission on the African continent.  

The objectives of the Mission are, inter alia, to foster and strengthen political and  economic relations with the host government and other friendly nations represented in Pretoria; promote and protect Guyana’s sovereignty and territorial integrity; promote  investment, trade and tourism for Guyana; fulfil the consular needs of Guyanese resident  in South Africa and across the African continent, and persons wishing to travel to, or  conduct business in Guyana; facilitate persons wishing to re-migrate to Guyana; and in  general to execute and promote the Foreign Policy objectives of Guyana.
